The hotel was enormous and not as clean as expected. While the standard room construction made it noisy with a side view, the one queen bed in Royal Tulp room was a letdown. On the plus side, the smoke from the barbecue added a cozy touch to the atmosphere at night.

I stayed at the Royal Tulp hotel during my trip to Marsa Alam and overall had a mixed experience. The rooms were clean and comfortable, but the noise from the construction site nearby and the overwhelming smell of barbecue smoke at night were definite drawbacks. On the bright side, the location was convenient, right in front of the Marsa Alam airport, and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
